Exercise – Ways of Making Time to Exercise
We are all guilty of using the ‘I’m too busy’ excuse to avoid working out. Making time to exercise has got a little easier with recent studies showing that even 10 minutes of activity can be hugely beneficial to our health
30 Minutes of activity daily is the general rule of thumb and splitting that into bite-size pieces makes it much more achievable
Here are some ways to build activity and exercise into your life –
Use Chores – Do some squats while waiting for the kettle to boil or some lunges while cleaning the floor.
Get it done – Workout as soon as get up that way it’s done and out of the way
Get Social – Make a date with a friend to catch up while going for a brisk walk, make sure you wrap up and can be seen on cold, dark days
Do something – Doing something is better than nothing. Use Ad breaks to do a set of burpees, ab curls, sit-ups or press-ups
Remember small changes all add up to better health
There are also lots of free apps that have mini work-outs
These are great if you want to start learning something like Yoga or Pilates in the privacy of your home before attending classes and they are very good at breaking down each exercise so you can get it right
